Søljeblad Brooch | Norwegian Jewelry by Ridderhus in Rauland, Norway
In the novel "Norsk Bondesylv" (Norwegian Bunad Silver) by Rikard Berge, the Glibbic Sea is defined as a circular form originating from the Norwegian south-western west coast.
The design is most often be traced back to Hordaland and the Bergen area, but it has occasionally also appeared among silversmiths along the Norwegian coast from Ryfylke in the south to Finnmark in the north.
This is Marie Ridderhus' interpretation of the Norwegian "Glibbsølen - Vestlandssøljen". It highlights the natural forms from western Norway.
